Item Description

Datasheet

EDFA-1: OPTOSCI's EDFA instrument is a benchtop unit offering gains in excess of 28dB with saturated output powers greater than 10dBm. It employs a 980nm co-directional pump scheme and the gain/output signal power of the amplifier can be adjusted using the front panel pump laser control. It has input and output isolators and uses FC/APC connectors as standard.

BBS-1: OPTOSCI's Broadband Erbium Doped Fibre source is a benchtop unit offering in excess of 20mW in fibre over the range 1525-1565nm. The output power is displayed on an integral panel meter and can be altered by using the front panel control. The source output is optically isolated and available from a panel mounted FC/APC connector.

EDFA/BBS: OPTOSCI'S combined EDF Amplifer / Broadband Source instrument allows the user the flexibility to convert the EDFA into a Broadband Source as required using an external patchcord link to the internal loop mirror. The unit's display will read either the power of the pump laser or the total output power of the unit. The gain/output signal power of the amplifier and the output power of the source can be altered by adjusting the front panel control.
